| The following is a
list of campgrounds along the Missouri River south of
Bismarck and Mandan along with a highlight of what each
has to offer and where they are located. For a map of the
campgrounds, go to our

General Sibley Park - 114
RV campsites with electricity, separate tent area, 2
shower/bath houses, water fill and dump station,
24-hole disk golf course, playgrounds. Camping fees
are $10 for nonelectric tent sites and $22 for
electric camper sites. Located on the east side
of the river 3.3 miles along Washington Street south
of the Bismarck Expressway. |

Fort Abraham Lincoln State
Park - 95 campsites with electric, cabins,
shower/bath house, dump station, hiking trails,
playground, picnic shelters, tours of Custer's House
and On-A-Slant Indian Village earth lodges, military
barracks, granary, commissary and stable, and museum.
Camping fees are $12 for nonelectric sites and $20 for
electric sites. Located on the west side of the river
seven miles south of Mandan. |

Schmidt Bottoms (Little
Heart) - 15 primitive sites, boat ramp. Located on the
east side of the river 13 miles south of Mandan on
Highway 1806. |

Graner Bottoms (Sugar
Loaf) - 27 campsites with electric and primitive, boat
ramp, playground, fish cleaning station. Located on
west side of river 18 miles south of Mandan on Highway
1806. |

Recreation Area - 12 electric and 18 primitive
campsites, 2 courtesy boat docks, no reservations.
Camping fees are $8 for nonelectric sites and $10 for
electric sites. Located on east side of river 30 miles
south Bismarck on Highway 1804. |
| Badger Creek
Recreation Area - primitive camping, shoreline
fishing. Located on east side of river 32 miles south
Bismarck on Highway 1804. |
| Fort Rice
Recreation Area - 10 campsites with electricity,
boat ramp. Located on the west side of the river 30
miles south of Mandan on Highway 1806. |
| Walker
Bottoms (Prairie Knights Marina) - 32 electric RV
sites with electricity and fire rings. There are tent
sites and restrooms with showers, 24-hour security,
fish cleaning station, dump station, fresh water
refill. Located on west side of river 40 miles south
of Mandan on Highway 1806 (1 mile south of casino),
then 3.5 miles east on a county road. |
| Beaver Creek
Recreawtion Area - 59 RV (45 electric) and 35
primitive campsites, comfort station, showers,
bathrooms, dump station, boat launch, 2 courtesy
docks, fish cleaning station, swim, nature hiking
trail. Camping fees are $10 for non-electric and $14
for electric sites in the campground and $8 for
primitive camping on the east side of Hwy. 1804.
Campsites can be reserved online. Located on east side
of river 52 miles south of Bismarck on Highway 1804. |
| Cattail Bay
Recreation Area - 13 primitive campsites with fire
pit, vaulted bathroom, courtesty dock, fish cleaning
station. Located on east side of the river 60 miles
south of Bismarck on Highway 1804, then 2 miles west
on 89th St SW, then 2 miles south on 9th Ave SW, and
then 1.5 miles west on 91st St SW. |
| Seeman Park
- 10 RV sites with electric plus tent sites, 40 acres
park around small creek, playgrounds, shower, comfort
station, 9-hole disk golf course, Camping fees are $10
per night. Located 0.5 mile south of Linton on Highway
83, then 1 mile east on Highway 13, and then 0.5 mile
south on 8th Ave SE. |
